11th Annual Charleston Duck Race
The 11th Annual Charleston Duck Race on Daniel Island was held this past Saturday, June 10. 30,000 ducks were dropped from the Wando Bridge and raced to the pier at Daniel Island’s Children’s Park. The popular event drew a crowd of boats as well as land lovers along the Wando. Hosted by The Rotary Club of Daniel Island and a number of other participating Rotary Clubs in the Charleston area, this year’s race added to the more than $1 million raised over the past 10 years for local beneficiaries and Rotary projects worldwide. Seven lucky duck adopters shared in $20,000 worth of prizes. For more information, visit www.charlestonduckrace.com.
