3rd Annual Prohibition Speakeasy For a Cause
The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will present their annual “Prohibition Speakeasy for a Cause” on Sat. Oct. 13, from 7-11 pm, at the Sweetgrass Event Center, 2125 Hwy. 17 North in Mount Pleasant. Proceeds benefit East Cooper Community Outreach, East Cooper Meals on Wheels, and other Rotary charities. Tickets are $100 per person. It will be an evening of 1920s Prohibition-era fun including heavy hors d’oeuvres, open bar, music by the River City Dixieland Jazz Band, dancing with the Charleston Swing Dance Assoc, games, costume contest, silent auction, and a raffle for a $2000 grand prize.
