Applause for 'Santa Paws' event!
Christmas has come and gone, but a special event held during the holiday season last December has resulted in a much-needed gift for a local animal relief organization. “Santa Paws,” an annual charitable event that provides pet owners with an opportunity to have their furry friends photographed with Santa, generated $1750 for Valiant Animal Rescue and Relief (VARR) at its 2016 session. The total represents a 75 percent increase over monies raised the previous year. Organizers and sponsors of the event recently got together to present a check representing the “Santa Paws” proceeds to VARR Executive Director Michelle Reid.
