WELLMORE CERTIFIED AS “GREAT PLACE TO WORK”

Wellmore of Daniel Island, a senior living residence, was named a “Great Place to Work” after the result of anonymous employee feedback about Wellmore of Daniel Island’s workplace culture and environment.

Wellmore is an area leader in senior living, and knows how crucial satisfied employees are for providing person-centered, dignity-focused, and compassionate care. One of the company’s guiding principles is “people first, always” and that relates to the families of community residents, those who live within the community and those who are employed.

“We applaud Wellmore for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung of Great Place to Work’s senior care affiliate Activated Insights. “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”

Great Place to Work surveys companies on employee experience, workplace culture, and effective business leadership practices. Their data shows great workplaces benefit from stronger financial performance, reduced turnover, and better customer satisfaction than their peers.

REFLECTIONS OF CHARLESTON EXPANDS SERVICES

Reflections of Charleston, a locally-owned small business founded by Ollie Thompson and Zach Llewallyn in 2008, announced it has launched a new expanded suite of residential services. Initially, what began as a residential window cleaning and pressure washing business, Reflections of Charleston has grown to include interior and exterior painting and home remodeling to their list of services.

“Our business on Daniel Island and in the greater Charleston area has grown entirely by word of mouth over the years,” said  Thompson, a Daniel Island resident, in a statement. “Our customers frequently asked if we could provide additional services due to our
focus on quality, and the reliability of our work. We ultimately decided to focus on better educating ourselves and learning how to effectively handle all of our clients’ home maintenance needs. As a licensed residential builder in South Carolina, we are customer-focused with a passion for communication and attention to detail. With clear lines of communication, we can schedule each project appropriately and deliver an outstanding product that exceeds our customer’s expectations and stays within their budget.”

The company uses industry-leading equipment, environmentally-safe products and a comprehensive employee training program.

“We connected with some of the folks at BOLD Capital Group through our window cleaning and pressure washing service,” Thompson said. “We had some organic conversation on how we could expand our business and develop a synergy of services that would benefit homeowners. The team at BOLD came back with a great game plan including a new marketing and sales program, in addition to a redesigned website. Their investment and partnership has freed us up to do what we do well while growing our business at the same time.”

With the business growing, the team is actively recruiting more staff.
