THEOBALD FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC HOSTS SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

Dr. David Theobald and Theobald Family Chiropractic recently sponsored the practice’s 21st annual School Supply Drive.

Clients that donated supplies received a complimentary adjustment. The waiting room was filled with book bags, pencils, binders, crayons, paper and any other imaginable need a child would have to start their first day of school (see above photo). Pictured with the school supplies collected are Dr. David Theobald, Emerson Theobald and Erin Bua.

“Ms. Bua is the guidance counselor at James B. Edwards elementary school and works tirelessly to ensure that each student has everything they need to start the school year off right!” stated Dr. Theobald, a Daniel Island resident, in a press release about the drive.

REPUBLIC SERVICES DISCONTINUES CURBSIDE RECYCLING ON DI

The following is information that was sent in July 2019 to all “paying” recycling subscribers that are currently customers of the Berkeley County/Republic Services curbside recycling pickup. Per Berkeley County and Republic Services, this information was included in the July bill that was sent to all Republic Services customers countywide. If you are not presently or have not been a paying curbside pickup customer through Berkeley County/Republic Services, please disregard this information.

The residential curbside recycling contract Berkeley County holds with Republic Services was not renewed after August 31, 2019. Berkeley County has a new recycling facility - RePower South - on the landfill property that sorts recyclables out of residential trash. Therefore, continuing the contract with Republic Services was not necessary, according to a press release. Customers do not need to take further action, such as canceling accounts with Republic Services. Customers were recently invoiced by Republic Services for the third quarter. With the contract ending August 31, 2019, Republic Services will be issuing a credit for the September charge.

For any questions about the new recycling facility or curbside pick-up, please contact Berkeley County Water and Sanitation at (843) 719-2383.
