County mobile library expands range of readership

Berkeley County Library System, in collaboration with Moncks Corner Farmers Market, invites customers to visit the Mobile Library for Meet Your Mobile Library once a month from April to November.  
 
“The Berkeley County Mobile Library will be attending the Moncks Corner Farmers Market one Thursday per month starting in April,” said Elizabeth Baker, mobile outreach specialist. “The community is welcome to stop by, pick up a children’s take-home craft, sign up for a library card if you don’t already have one, and choose from books, movies, and more to check out.” 
 
The Moncks Corner Farmers Market is located at the Market Pavilion, 418 East Main Street, in Moncks Corner. Meet Your Mobile Library will be on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. as follows: April 28, May 26, June 23, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 10. 
 
The Mobile Library is a full-service library which offers numerous resources and materials to customers by providing access to library services in the rural areas of Berkeley County and to citizens who face obstacles in accessing resources. Materials available for checkout include laptops, free Wi-Fi service, Kajeet Hotspots, Playaway Audiobooks, Wonderbook & VOX audio-enabled books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, kids learning tablets. 
 
Digital resources include Libby e-books, audiobooks, and hoopla movies, music and magazines. The Mobile Library also offers printing and copying services, reference assistance, and children’s take-home crafts.
