Laura Alberts Tasteful Options honored for winning wines
Laura Alberts Tasteful Options of Daniel Island has been recognized with an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator for its wine selection. According to a press release, the award recognizes restaurants offering a “well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.” The lists range in size from 90 selections to several hundred bottle selections that are “well-focused and tend to emphasize discovery,” noted co-owner Karen Elsey.
“Laura Alberts Tasteful Options was the only new recipient of the 2018 Award of Excellence for the Charleston area,” continued Elsey. “We joined the ranks of a few other restaurants in the Charleston area that have boasted the Award of Excellence for years. We have worked hard to develop our wine list and are exceptionally proud to be recognized by the Wine Spectator with the 2018 Award of Excellence.”
This year, Laura Albert’s is one of the 2,453 restaurants around the world that received an Award of Excellence.
“This award validates our mission to sell wines from small family wineries around the world and tell their stories,” added Elsey.
