Max Crosby Construction celebrates 45 years

Max Crosby Construction, established in 1977, is celebrating its 45th year in business. Founded by the late Max Crosby, this company continues its legacy under the leadership of Daniel Island resident Jamison Howard.

Howard is a graduate of the College of Charleston and attended the Savannah College of Art & Design master’s program. He and Crosby partnered for over seven years. After Crosby’s passing in 2009, Howard took the helm.

Max Crosby Construction has garnered numerous recognitions from the Trident Home Builders Association, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, and Southern Living Magazine. The company was named one of Charleston’s “Most Influential Builders” by Charleston Home
Design Magazine in 2012. It was selected by Coastal Living Magazine as the spotlight builder for the 2013 Show House, and built the 2006 Southern Living Idea House, both on Daniel Island.

Max Crosby Construction also built a home for “Operation Finally Home” a nonprofit that provides mortgage-free homes with modifications to support ill and injured military veterans, first responders, widows, and their families.

Max Crosby Construction is on the Courtesy List as a builder for The Retreat, Daniel Island’s newest waterfront neighborhood. After being a part of the early development of Daniel Island, the company continues its 26-year legacy of building on Daniel Island.
