Wellmore of Daniel Island promotes Wells, hires new social director

Wellmore of Daniel Island, a luxury retirement community owned and operated by Senior Living Communities, LLC, announced in a press release the promotion of Linda Wells from Registered Nurse Supervisor to Resident Care Director.

“Linda has been a consistent light for our members at our community. Her dedication to our community and providing the best care for our members is why she deserved this promotion,” said Executive Director Jeff Barber in the release.

Wells spent the last decade working in a variety of positions in the healthcare industry, following her passion of caring for others. The first step Wells took to jump-start her career included obtaining her Registered Nurse licensure. Her dedication to her work has shaped her into the team member she is today. At Wellmore, she makes a difference in the lives of the residents everyday and will continue to make a great impact on the community, the release said.

Wellmore of Daniel Island also announced that Carley Nitchie joined the community as Social Director. Nitchie brings years of experience in the healthcare industry where she provided activities and built relationships with residents. Her passion for caring for others and creating engaging programming for residents will make a lasting impact on the community, a press release stated.

Nitchie began her career in recreational therapy in 2011 at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Nitchie is currently working on her Masters in Recreational Therapy from Clemson University to continue her education for her career.

Spending the last few years working in positions where she was creating activities and establishing effective communication with members has prepared her for this position. “Carley has years of experience working with residents and we are looking forward to seeing how she transfers that to our community. We are lucky to have her on our team,” Executive Director Jeff Barber said in a press release.

Wellmore of Daniel Island promotes that its number one goal is for members to live longer, healthier and happier lives. The stated policy is that anyone, at any age, in any condition, can improve the quality of their life. Learn more about Wellmore of Daniel Island at https://well-more.com/.
