The popular Daniel Island Speakers Series resumes on Sept. 13 with a presentation at the Daniel Island Club by Giff Daughtridge, vice president and general manager of Nucor Steel Berkeley on the Cainhoy Peninsula. Daughtridge has been in the post since 2007 and manages close to 1000 employees and more than 500 contractors. The facility is Nucor’s largest mill in terms of employment, assets, tons produced and revenue. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the program starts at 8 pm.
