DIHS TO PRESENT ‘NATIVE AMERICANS IN THE LOWCOUNTRY’
Daniel Island resident Jessica Marie Knuff will present “Native Americans in the Lowcountry” for the Daniel Island Historical Society’s November program on Tues., Nov. 19, 7-8 pm at Church of the Holy Cross, 299 Seven Farms Drive. Knuff is an activist for Native American issues and of Cherokee/Pee Dee heritage. She sits on the board of the U.S. Department of State’s Native American Foreign Affairs Council, acts as a White House Generation Indigenous liaison, and is a member of the Indigenous Women’s Alliance of South Carolina.
