Holy Cross Christmas Turkey Fry
On Christmas Eve morning, from 7 a.m. until noon, approximately 40 men from the Church of the Holy Cross on Daniel Island gathered to fry turkeys for the Humanities Foundation. The Humanities Foundation runs seven low-income housing apartment complexes around the Charleston area, including the one opposite the church, at the corner of Seven Farms Drive and Daniel Island Drive.
Campus Pastor Jonathan Bennett said, “This was a great way to spend Christmas: loving our neighbors by helping to provide a Christmas turkey for 70 families in the Charleston area, and having a lot of fun in the process! I’m hopeful that it will be the first of many Christmas turkey fry events that we’ll do in the years to come.”
