Candidates file for June primary election

‘Tis almost election season again…and a number of local and state candidates have officially filed to run during the upcoming June primary. The filing period for those seeking their political party’s nomination for the 2018 general election was March 16 – March 30. The primary will be held June 12, with a runoff, if needed, to take place on June 26. The general election is scheduled for November 6.
Following are some of the candidates who will be on the primary election ballot in June. Offices that include the Daniel Island/Cainhoy area include Governor, U.S. House of Representatives (First Congressional District), S.C.
