Celebrate the season with two holiday events
The Daniel Island POA invites residents to enjoy two separate holiday events this year — the tree lighting at the Guggenheim Terrace on Thursday, Dec. 5, and the Holiday Festival at Volvo Car Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 7.
2019 HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING
The Daniel Island Holiday Tree Lighting event will be held at Guggenheim Terrace, located at 200 Seven Farms Drive, on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be activities and music for the whole family as well as dinner options with several food trucks. The tree will be lit at 6 p.m. followed by the Charleston Community Band Jazz Ensemble, The Charleston Caroling Company. Additional activities and entertainment includes the Holiday Vendor Night Market (local vendors, artisans and crafts), elf jugglers and costumed characters, games for kids, and a photo booth. Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy benefitting MUSC Children’s Hospital and Lowcountry Orphan Relief.
2019 HOLIDAY FESTIVAL
Join neighbors and friends at the 2019 Daniel Island Holiday Festival at Volvo Car Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., for a family friendly community event. Enjoy fabulous holiday shopping, featuring Charleston’s finest vendors, as well as outstanding entertainment and kid’s activities.
This Charleston holiday treasure has been voted as one of the Top 10 Best Holiday Season events in the Lowcountry. An entire “holiday shopping village” will be conveniently located along the Volvo Car Stadium concourse and on ground level with more than 100 hand-picked vendors ready to help with your gift list. The event is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with festive drinks and food.
There is a $5 admission fee; children 3 and under are free. In case of severe weather conditions, the festival will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1-6 p.m.
