DIS Science Fair Winners!

Six Daniel Island School students were recently announced as winners of the Annual DIS Science Fair. Earning the top prize for their grade levels were Asher Western and Turner Orvin, sixth grade; Claudia Rose Perkis and Raena Patel, seventh grade; and Matthew Elliott and William Thrower, eighth grade. The winning teams went on to represent the Daniel Island School at the Lowcountry Regional Science Fair, hosted by the College of Charleston. Winners from Lowcountry schools spanning from Beaufort to Georgetown competed for regional prizes. The sixth grade team won first place in the Junior 1 Physics category and third place Junior 1 overall.
