Good Eats: Joey Tomatoes Deli & Market offers a fast and unique breakfast and lunch experience

Joey Tomatoes Deli & Market is designed to be a fast and casual dining option, but the food is fresh and unique, with specialty products that come right from the source. 

 

Located at 1190 Clements Ferry Road and open for business since December 2018, the restaurant is convenient to Clements Ferry area residents and well worth the drive for Daniel Islanders.  

 

Owner George Sarkis said, “We only use the finest ingredients in all our food. All items are made fresh daily. Our breads are from New York City, our meats are from Italy, and many of our specialty vinegars and oils come from various parts of Europe.”

 

Customers order at the counter and can eat in or take out. For diners who decide to eat at the restaurant, servers will bring food to the table. There is also a call-in order option, and an online order option will be launching soon on their new website.

 

Joey Tomatoes is open for breakfast and lunch all day. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week.

 

“Joey’s is known for our artisan Italian sandwiches made with Batard bread from New York City and with very high quality meats and homemade sauces and spreads,” said Sarkis. 

 

Tasty roast beef sandwiches and big breakfast burritos are among the best-selling items.

 

New at Joey Tomatoes is an expanded catering menu.

 

“Our focus will continue to bring new products that are fresh and of very high quality. Our plan is to develop better communication tools for our customers for 2020 with a new website and better communication of special events and items through our social media platform,” Sarkis said. “We are

also looking to expand our variety of take-home foods so mom doesn’t have to cook for the family at night with a new line of to-go dinners.”
