Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island

These are the issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island. All meetings are open for public comment except the TRC meetings. For more information on any of these proposed actions, including location and time of meetings, please email president@dineighborhoodassociation.org.

City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) — At the most recent meeting on October 3, the site plan for Daniel Island Self Storage at 460 Seven Farms Drive needs to resolve the comment with GIS (Geographical Information System) then submit to Zoning. The following items will be reviewed at the next meeting on October 10: the site plan for construction of a new DR Horton office at 2057 Wambaw Creek Road, Cainhoy; the parking improvements site plan at 146 Fairchild; and the construction plans for St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Site Design (BZA-SD) — The next meeting will be held on November 6; the agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Zoning (BZA-Z) — The next meeting will be held on October 15; the agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Design Review Board (DRB) — The next meeting will be held on October 21; the agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Planning Commission (PC) — The next meeting will be held on October 16; the agenda is not yet published.
