Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island
These are the issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island. All meetings are open for public comment except the TRC meetings. City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) — At the most recent meeting on March 14, the committee determined that the preliminary subdivision plat for River Landing Village needs to be revised and resubmitted to TRC members as needed, and after in-house approval, it will go to Zoning for stamping. The next meeting will be held on March 21 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island to be discussed.
City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Site Design (BZA-SD) —The next meeting will be held April 3 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island on the agenda.
City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Zoning (BZA-Z) — The most recent meeting was held on March 19 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island discussed.
City of Charleston Design Review Board (DRB) — At the most recent meeting on March 18, the request for preliminary approval for the construction of a new four-story mixed use building at River Landing Village and a request for conceptual approval of the construction of a new four-story mixed Marriott hotel on Fairchild Street were discussed. Results were not available before the paper went to print.
City of Charleston Planning Commission (PC) — The most recent meeting was held on March 20 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island on the agenda.
