Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island

These are the issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island and Cainhoy. All meetings are open for public comment except the TRC meetings. City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) —The next meeting will be held on Jan. 9 with one issue of impact to be discussed. The committee will review construction plans for a multi-family development and associated improvements for Hawthorne at Clements Ferry Road, located at 2800 Clements Ferry Road. At the Jan. 2 meeting, the TRC reviewed construction plans for the Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church project on Seven Farms Drive, and construction plans and a proposed right-of-way adjustment for the Daniel Island Courtyard Marriott at 56 Fairchild Street.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Site Design (BZA-SD) — The next meeting will be held on Feb. 5. The agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Zoning (BZA-Z) — The next meeting will be held on Jan 21. The agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Design Review Board (DRB) — The next meeting will be held on Jan. 21. The agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Planning Commission (PC) — The next meeting will be held on Jan. 27. The agenda is not yet published.
