Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island

These are the recent issues before various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to Daniel Island and the Cainhoy area. All meetings are open for public comment except the TRC meetings.

City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC):

The next meeting is scheduled for May 21, with no Daniel Island/Cainhoy area projects on the agenda.

At the May 14 meeting, the following items were discussed:

● Construction plans for the renovation of the existing Daniel Island Children’s Park on River Landing Drive were reviewed. Revisions were requested. Once resolved, the plan will move on to the Zoning Committee.

● Subdivision concept plans for the First Light housing development at Point Hope Parkway and Seven Sticks Drive underwent a second review. Revisions were requested and will be resubmitted.
