Mystery Photo Contest - August 15, 2019

Last week’s Mystery Photo Contest winner is Daniel Island resident Savannah Oberly, one of several participants to correctly identify the subject in the photo as the gold-painted cupola on the top of the main building on the Bishop England campus. Savannah was selected in a random tie-breaker.

“I rode by it one day in my golf cart,” said Savannah, when asked how she solved the mystery. “And then when I got home I looked at the picture in The Daniel Island News and knew that was it!”

Savannah starts kindergarten at the Daniel Island School next week. She moved to the island with her family three and a half years ago from Chicago. Both her brother, Jack, and sister, Caroline, are previous winners of the Mystery Photo Contest. Savannah has entered several times, but this is her first time winning! She enjoys riding in the family’s golf cart and going to the pool with her family and friends.

Savannah selected a gift card from Blondie’s Bagels & Café as her prize.
