The winner of the Mystery Photo Contest is Daniel Island resident Mia Alvarez, who correctly identified the picture as part of a dugout on Daniel Island.
She was selected in a random tie-breaker.
Alvarez, who is 12, said she was able to guess the right answer because she is familiar with the area.
She currently attends Christ Our King-Stella Maris School in Mount Pleasant.
In the spirit of getting healthy in the new year, Alvarez chose a gift card for Revive Yoga.
This was her second time winning the contest; her first victory came last May.
Alvarez added, “Thanks for doing this for the paper, it’s a really fun thing for me and probably for other people too!”
