Mystery Photo Contest - June 20, 2019

Last week’s Mystery Photo Contest winner is Daniel Island resident Clay Slaughter. Clay was one of seven participants to correctly identify the subject in the picture as the gate to the dog park beside Governors Park. He was selected as the winner in a random tie-breaker.

Clay, age 10, moved to Daniel Island last year from northern Virginia. He is a rising fifth grader at Daniel Island School. Identifying the mystery photo wasn’t too hard, he said.

“I have two dogs, so I spend a lot of time at the dog park and enjoy playing with them there!”

During his summer break from school, Clay has been spending time at the pool and the beach, and hanging out with his friends. He has entered the Mystery Photo Contest a total of five times, but this is his first time winning!

Clay selected a Daniel Island News hat as his prize.
