Mystery Photo Contest - March 12, 2020

The winner of the Mystery Photo Contest is Daniel Island resident Barbara Searle, who correctly identified the picture as the fountain at Children’s Park, located at 101 River Landing Drive on Daniel Island.

Searle, who lives at Daniel’s Landing condominiums, has been fortunate to call the island home for the past 10 years. She also works on the island as associate membership director at the National Golf Course Owners Association on Seven Farms Drive.

How was she able to recognize the photo? She said, “I pass by the fountain every morning when I walk my dog, Charlie.”

Although Searle recently correctly guessed another mystery photo, this was her first time winning in a random tiebreaker, and she said it was great news.

She described her favorite thing about living and working on Daniel Island: “On my daily walks I have become acutely aware of what a beautiful and unique place this is.”

Congratulations also are in order for Edie Maclaughlin, Shruti Batra, Vriti Batra, Heather Goodson, and Charlie Maraziti. All of these readers recognized the fountain’s compass rose design, and several noted it is located near the pier and boat landing.
