Rotary round-up!

In addition to hosting another successful Charity Duck Race last month, the Rotary Club of Daniel Island has been busy with a number of activities - among them electing a new president and board for 2017-2018, hosting the administrative team of the soon-to-open Philip Simmons High School, and seeing several local students excel in a recent Rotary-sponsored “YesCarolina” entrepreneurship competition.

Several Daniel Island Rotarians were also honored at a recent event for their “distinguished” service, including Derek Epperson, Steve Slifer, Michael Patterson, George Jucha, Tom Richards, and Pat Richards. Additionally, Scott and Laura Varn received a “Youth Exchange Host” Award, Michael Cole received “The Harry Salisbury Award,” Bill Stevens was honored with a “Service Above Self” Award, and Greg Brainerd was named “Rotarian of the Year.”
