We still love our pets!

Editor’s Note: Earlier this month we featured reader-submitted photos of Daniel Island pets and their stories. Enjoy a few more here. And, if you haven’t already sent in a photo, we’d love to feature more pets and what makes them special to you and your family. You can send photos and write-ups to sdetar@thedanielislandnews.com

MISSY

Submitted by Maureen and Peter Stevens

Missy is a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles and Mini Poodle) puppy who was born in February. She doesn’t shed, doesn’t drool and doesn’t bark! She enjoys morning and evening walks in the neighborhood and meeting new dogs and neighbors. She loves her car trips with us and riding in the basket at some of the stores. She also enjoys going to dinner at Wasabi and sitting outside with a bowl of water as her people sip wine. Missy is sweet, she is smart, she is pretty and she is loved! You might just want to meet her!

ROXY

Roxy is as beautiful as the Daniel Island sunset! Submitted by 10-year-old Ava Delpino She is 13 years old and has lived on Daniel Island for over 12 years. She loves to go on runs and walks on the trails, and loves to play fetch at the parks, or in the fields. Some of her favorite places to walk are around fields, the trails on DI, and she loves to walk around Smythe Lake. Roxy loves everyone she meets, and is calm around all of the neighborhood dogs. Everyone that meets her loves her, and they are surprised at how active she is for such an old dog. She has a big family full of her favorite people. Ava, Chase, and Tessa, who love to play fetch with her, and take her on walks and runs all around DI. And Knox, who just turned two, loves to climb all over her. Roxy has her own room in our house because she is just as much a part of our family as anyone. Some other interesting facts about Roxy are that she is obsessed with tennis balls, she is afraid of thunder, and loves swimming and playing at the beaches in South Carolina.
