DI resident launches new organization development company Daniel Island resident Laura Varn, a veteran corporate leadership executive, recently launched a new organization development consulting company – Laura Varn & Associates. The company will help organizations tackle strategic challenges through problem-solving, organizational development, leadership development and communications. Joining Varn’s team as business partners are retired Charleston Police Chief Gregory Mullen; Barbara Kelley-Duncan, retired CEO of Carolina Youth Development Center; and Shauna J. Rowland, a national management and organizational effectiveness consultant. Their combined efforts will add deep non-profit, law enforcement, local government and national organization development expertise, stated a press release.

“Their ability to foster success comes from decades of high-level leadership experience, and from unique, credible relationships with key stakeholders throughout the greater Charleston region and South Carolina,” continued the release.

Varn has more than 20 years of experience working within complex corporate structures, including dealing with challenges in areas of communication, crisis management, human resources, strategic planning, leadership development and change management. She has completed work for a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Delta Airlines and Southern Company, as well as state-owned utility Santee Cooper.
