Islander’s portrait earns prize for photographer

***image1***Mount Pleasant photographer, Patricia Ring, of Ring Photography, Inc. has won an award in the 2005 Children’s Portrait Contest. Ring’s portrait of five year old Jane Garvey, of Daniel Island, captured second place overall. Miss Garvey was awarded a $400 savings bond. The nationwide contest, sponsored by H&H Color Lab of Raytown, MO, had over 1000 entries of children one-16 years old including seven age categories and one sibling’s category.
