Letter to the Editor - February 15, 2018

Dear Daniel Island Community,

At Swing Park on Daniel Island (Gatewood Street), we should put a water fountain. We should because people play there on hot and sunny days. People have picnics, or people can be walking their dogs and either the person who is walking their dog can be thirsty, or the dog can be thirsty. People can be riding bikes and need a stop at the water fountain.

And one more thing, kids play games a lot at the park and bring plastic water bottles. There’s a couple problems with that. One of them is they’re wasting money buying those water bottles, and they waste it by not even fully drinking it. Plastic water bottles aren’t good for the environment.

So that’s why I want a water fountain at Swing Park.
