Letter to the Editor - June 9, 2022

What happened to our old trash collectors? They were efficient and accommodating. The new company is arrogant and uncooperative. For over eight weeks, sections of a rotted fence (cut and bundled as instructed) have remained uncollected in my backyard. Despite numerous calls and emails to both the City of Charleston and our POA, I have had no results. My last hope, the Charleston Ombudsman Citizen Service desk, has so far been likewise unsuccessful. Although a separate truck came on June 25, the driver looked at my debris and drove off, without speaking to me. Why do we pay for city services when something as simple as trash collection is ignored?
