Moo-na Lisa Gourmet Ice Cream & Coffee, Inc. celebrates first anniversary
It’s first-anniversary time for Moo-na Lisa Gourmet Ice Cream and Coffee, Inc. and the owners are ready to celebrate. Owners John and Terry Moran are excited to thank the many Daniel Island residents, workers and visitors who supported their business for an outstanding first year. "The kindness, generosity and support of all the island patrons has meant a great deal to us and we would like to thank them all with a bit of a celebration" stated Moran. The celebration kicks off on Oct. 14 and runs through the weekend. Research from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics suggests that most small business failures occur in the first two years of their existence. After that, the rate of business failure slows. The fact that Moo-na Lisa, a small, independently owned ice cream and coffee company, has reached this milestone is reason for celebration. During their first year of business, the Morans have encountered the usual small business ups and downs. In spite of this, they have never lost hope or been discouraged. "We have many regular customers that have given us encouragement on a daily basis" said Moran. "They are always there with a positive thought and the confidence that the business would prosper as the island population grew. With such great support, how could we not look optimistically toward the future?" The one-year anniversary celebration is how Moo-na Lisa would like to say thank you and give back to their many loyal customers. The celebration activities will include: ·
