Out of this world The X-CAT class at Philip Simmons Elementary School created this model of the solar system. “Our class has been studying the solar system this month,” said teacher Sharon O’Keefe. “The students created the planets using papier-mâché, and then each student was assigned a planet to paint. The students used a picture of the planet to determine what colors to paint their planet. They are very proud to have their class solar system hanging from our ceiling, to show all that come through our room.” The X-CAT class, also taught by Renee Jensen, is made up of students in grades K-4.
