Buyers, sellers use caution as inventory increases slowly

In October, 16 homes sold on Daniel Island. As of Nov. 10, there were 72 homes listed on the market, with 42 active listings and 30 listings under contract. The most expensive home sold was on Balfour Drive in Daniel Island Park for $2.85 million. The least expensive home sold was a condo on Pier View Street that sold for $375,000.

According to Renee Reinert Pote with Iron Gate Realty, buyers and sellers are using more caution with the current market, resulting in more contracts falling through and homes coming back on the market.

“I see cautious buyers and sellers,” Pote said. “No matter what the market, if your home is ‘show ready’ and priced within the current market, it will sell quickly. If you try to test the market, you may hurt yourself in the long run. Trust your well-qualified, well-experienced Realtor’s advice.  They know the current market.”
