October real estate stats show holding pattern on DI

Thirty-seven homes sold on Daniel Island in October. As of Nov. 15, there were a total of 69 properties for sale. Only 19 were active, while 50 were under contract. 
 
The least expensive home sold was a condo at Bucksley Lane that sold for $275,000. The most expensive home sold was on Wando View St.. It sold for $5.75 million. Fifteen homes sold for $1 million dollars or more. Total dollar volume sold was $44,705,585.
 
According to Renee Reinert Pote with Iron Gate Realty, prices remain on the high side and inventory remains low. “We are seeing pricing remain strong. We were seeing somewhat of a softening in the prices climbing up and it seems now to be steadier. I think we are in a holding pattern and able to hold the high pricing for now due to the continued low inventory.”
 
Pote believes this holding pattern will continue for a while. “I do not see any indication that inventory will grow at a rapid rate. The trend I see happening more now is that sellers now feel they need to secure their next home before selling their current home.”
