Annual Holiday Classic provided great tennis, support for children’s hospital
The 12th Annual Holiday Classic, presented by Safelite in support of the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, welcomed 225 players to LTP at the Daniel Island Tennis Center for a weekend of competitive tennis on Dec. 13-15.
This USTA-sanctioned event offered men’s and women’s doubles. Tournament players, LTP members, and guests generously gave from the heart by participating in the silent auction and through their donations.
More than 200 items from the MUSC Child Life Atrium Wish List — directly impacting the children undergoing treatment at the hospital — were donated by the players and supporters.
“Congratulations to our champions and finalists. The real winners are the children at MUSC Children’s Hospital who will enjoy the generosity of each and every one who supported this year’s event,” said Nancy Heinz, tournament director and membership manager at LTP Daniel Island.
Heinz added, “A special thanks to our new presenting sponsor, Safelite.” Safelite is the largest auto glass specialist company in the U.S. with more than 70 years of experience, serving 6 million customers every year.
