David Champ wins the football pick'em, beats Drs. Jackson and Basha
This week’s winner of the Pigskin Challenge is David Champ. David was one of 15 people to beat our sponsors, Drs. Jackson and Basha, who were 8-4 last week. And David was one of two entrants who went 11-1. David beat Larry Wilson in the high scoring NFL game tiebreaker between Carolina and New Orleans.
David and his family moved to Daniel Island full-time last September after being part-time for the two previous years. Recently retired as Executive VP-Sales for State Farm, his daughter Molly, who lives in Cincinnati, is getting married at the DI Club this Saturday. And, David is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Why he plays the challenge? “An email is sent to me each week with a link to enter the challenge. It’s easy and I like the challenge of the challenge.”
Each week from now until the Super Bowl, readers will be given the opportunity to “Beat the Sponsor” and to win great prizes. In the sponsor competition, Drs. Jackson and Basha continue to hold on to first with a one-point lead over Rosie Stieby, who closed the gap again this week.
