Island Baseball teams recognized at City Council meeting

Two City of Charleston/DI Recreation Spring, ‘16 Baseball teams concluded their Championship Seasons on September 13 with formal recognition, congratulations and a Proclamation from the Charleston City Council, DI Councilman Gary White and Mayor John Tecklenburg. The 9/10 DI Islanders and the 11/12 DI Dogs each won their South Carolina Recreation All-Star Championship. The Islanders dominated the Babe Ruth League which took them to the Regional Championship Tournament in Nashville, TN while the Dogs conquered the Cal Ripken League and traveled to Glen Allen, VA for Regional Competition. Congratulations to our SC State Rec Baseball Champs!
