Jennifer Carrigan is a two-time winner - beats Sue Detar to earn Laura Albert’s gift card

Enter by noon on Friday at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G9R23L3

Jennifer Carrigan becomes the first contestant to be a repeat winner in this year’s Pigskin Pick ‘Em Challenge. She beat author Suzanne Detar by correctly selecting 10 games for a one point win over Detar’s nine correct games.

A friend of the author, Jennifer said, “I feel great about being a two time winner! I felt good about my picks this week, but then when I watched the Broncos and the Rams lose, I was a bit concerned. I am glad that Sue’s Eagles won. I think an Eagles win means more to Sue than winning this week’s Pigskin Pick ‘Em.”

Jennifer added, “I love sports and now that college football is winding down, I am looking forward to college basketball. I am especially hopeful that Virginia can avenge last year’s first round loss in the NCAA tournament.”

Each week between now and the Super Bowl, readers will be given an opportunity to “Beat the Sponsor” and to win great prizes. We will email a link to the survey on Tuesday each week via a Daniel Island News e-blast and we will also put the URL link on our Facebook page as well as here in the paper. To be eligible to win, you must select your entries online by noon on Friday. There is no cost to enter. If you’d like to be added to our e-blast, please send your email address to katherine@thedanielislandnews.com

To enter, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G9R23L3 and fill out your ballot. Each week, we will also include a running win-loss record for each of our sponsors and the paper will donate $500 to the charity of choice for the sponsor who has the best overall win-loss record at the end of the season. This week is your opportunity to beat Ray Passailaigue of Backflow Services and Repair for a chance to win a gift card to LIDI.
