Joe Gough beats Tom Werner, wins gift certificate to Laura Alberts
Joe Gough is the winner of the first week of the Pigskin Challenge. Joe was one of three people to pick eight games correctly. Joe won the point-spread tiebreaker in the Clemson/Auburn game over the other two top pickers. One person picked all nine games correctly but did not include his or her name or contact information. A total of 14 people beat Tom Werner of Charleston One Source in this week’s contest, out picking Tom’s six winning selections.
Due to Hurricane Irma, only one of the high school games was played last week, the others were cancelled.
Joe works at MUSC in the Department of Medicine and lives in Shell Ring. His son Jackson is in ninth grade at Philip Simmons High School. When contacted on Monday during the storm, Joe said, “I just got married on Friday and am on my honeymoon in Maine about to have a whole lobster for lunch:).”
Joe plays the Pick ‘Em Challenge “because I love football: high school, college (mainly) and NFL.”
