Pigskin Pick'em Challenge - 2 Super Bowl winners announced

The Super Bowl week Pig Skin Pick-‘Em Challenge ends in a tie between Sherrill Holland and Ron DiBella. Sherrill and Ron were two of only several entries who selected Denver to beat local favorite Carolina (only one sponsor picked Denver). Interestingly, only the people who picked Denver to win also correctly picked that the score would be under 45.5. It seems that the Denver fans knew that the number one defense in the league could stop the number one offense! Both Ron and Sherrill selected the same number of correct statistical leaders and there was no tie breaker this week and both beat sponsor and Iron Gate realtor Cara Schaafsma, who selected Carolina to win. Since early September and continuing through the Super Bowl, our sponsors have been competing with readers and providing wonderful prizes. And, each week the sponsors have been competing against one another for the overall win-loss record. Congratulations to Steve Meyer and Jeff Burton of UBS for winning the 21 week challenge among the generous sponsors. The paper will donate $500 to the charity of choice of the sponsor.
