ThROWdown 2020 for Special Olympics On Saturday, Jan. 18, CrossFit Discovery hosted the 4th Annual ThROWdown for Special Olympics, SC. At the event, 218 participants relay rowed for two hours and raised $13,000! Sponsors were CrossFit Discovery, Peace Love Hip Hop, Made 2 Move PT, The Daniel Island Community Fund, Kellermann-Smith Real Estate, OL Thompson Construction, Mingledorff & Patterson Law, Coastal Rowing Studio, The New Primal, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Vida-Flo Charleston, Dockery’s, and Qwik Pack & Ship. Part of the ThROWdown included a team competition. Pictured are members of the first place team from CrossFit North Charleston. Second place went to “No Bull Just Row” and the third place team was Made 2 Move Physical Therapy of Daniel Island. Special Olympian Grant Baker gets a word of advice from a coach as he rows.
