Strolling through the business district of Daniel Island’s Town Center, the lively atmosphere is hard to miss, with bustling customers and the aromas of various food options filling the air.
Located at 162 Seven Farms Drive, the shopping center was built in 2002 and spans approximately 19 acres. It’s home to 14 businesses, offering everything from dining to retail.
Publix is a supermarket chain that offers fresh produce, meats, and bakery and deli services. With several locations across Charleston, media relations manager Jared Glover said its associates and customers have helped Publix grow from a single store into the “largest employee-owned company in the United States.”
“We thank them by remaining deeply dedicated to customer service and community involvement, and being a great place to work,” Glover said. “We’re committed to these practices here on Daniel Island and across our entire operating area.”
Island Expressions is a gift shop specializing in conservation custom framing. From start to finish, owner Dyan Heineck said she carefully curates each custom frame with quality materials among the gift shop’s locally-made products.
“We don’t just build frames, we build relationships,” Heineck said. “We have so many wonderful regular customers who support our small businesses. Whether they’re framing a wedding gift for their child or buying a gift for a family member in the hospital, we truly appreciate the opportunity to support and serve our customers.”
Lucia’s Premium Pet is a neighborhood pet store offering pet supplies and education on pet health and nutrition. The store carries popular pet food brands, offers a self-service dog wash, and stocks an array of supplies, including leashes, collars, beds, and toys.
“We have been blessed to be on Daniel Island for over 16 years,” owner Katharine Matthews said. “Our customers are more like family – we laugh with them, cry with them, and walk this pet-parent journey alongside each one.”
Cooper River Cycles is a full-service bike shop that provides sales, service, repairs, and rentals to local bikers. Located on Daniel Island for 10 years, store owner Gage Cooper said his goal is to make every rider feel supported in their biking journey.
“We’ve made so many lasting friendships and memories here,” Cooper said. “We love being a part of such a bike-friendly community and are so thankful for the continued support and desire for a local bike shop on the island.”
Baskin-Robbins is an ice cream chain that joined Daniel Island in December 2023. With a variety of fun and seasonal ice cream flavors, the store also serves sundaes, milkshakes, and ice cream cakes, making it a go-to destination for dessert lovers.
Nails So Dep is a nail salon on Daniel Island offering a range of treatments, including manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, waxing, eyebrow tinting, and lash extensions. According to its website, the store’s polish rack is updated each season to keep up with nail art trends.
Mpishi is a family-owned, full-service restaurant and bar, offering breakfast, brunch, and lunch daily. Named after the word “chef” in Kiswahili, Mpishi opened in 2019 by co-owners Allison and Andy Clay who met in Tanzania. The restaurant offers cafe-type dishes by day and serves family-style themed dinners on pre-concert nights. Allison Clay said, “As members of this community, we love being able to personally know so many of our customers.”
Dragon Palace Chinese Bistro offers flavorful Chinese cuisine, including chicken and rice platters, dim sum, egg rolls, salads, soups, and vegetarian dishes. Customers can enjoy a meal dining in or taking out.
Domino’s Pizza is a pizza delivery chain offering signature and customizable pizzas with a variety of crusts, toppings, and sauces. Its menu also includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. The Daniel Island location delivers to homes around the island, Clements Ferry Road, and parts of Mount Pleasant.
Subway is a fast-food sandwich chain known for its customizable subs, wraps, and salads. The Daniel Island location offers dine in and catering options.
Coastal Carolina Cleaners specializes in high-end garment care, leather and suede cleaning, hand cleaning, and traditional dry cleaning. Committed to environmentally friendly practices, the business utilizes green cleaning methods that conserve energy and prevent shrinkage, according to its website.
