DIHS TO PRESENT ‘OSCEOLA’S MUSE’ PREVIEW
The nearly forgotten story of Seminole Chief Osceola and his tribe’s time on Sullivan’s Island will come alive for the Daniel Island Historical Society’s fall season kick-off program, to be held on Tues., Sept. 17 at 6:30 pm at Church of the Holy Cross on Daniel Island. Join DIHS for this special preview of “Osceola’s Muse,” a highly immersive outdoor theatre experience coming to Sullivan’s Island’s Battery Gadsden this October. Panelists will include renowned artist Jonathan Green, costumes and scenery designer for the show; Osceola expert Thomas Sobol of Fort Moultrie; actors from PURE Theatre; and Daniel Island’s own Kris Manning, a multi-media artist who is creating an enchanting tree-themed art installation for the production. Free. To RSVP, email elizbush@icloud.com. DIHS members will receive preference until Sept. 1, at which point the general public can RSVP.
