Free kids’ admission for Patriots Point

Santa will be making a special appearance aboard the USS Yorktown, and good girls and boys can visit with him free Dec. 17-22.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will offer free admission for children ages 11 and under during these days and Santa Claus will be available for holiday photo shoots.

Families can also enjoy the holiday atmosphere aboard the ship, complete with decorated trees, seasonal music, and movies in the theater.

“The holiday season is in full swing at Patriots Point,” said Allison Hunt, executive director of Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, “Our uniquely patriotic setting is the perfect place to get a photo with Santa, enjoy a USS Yorktown cookie, and settle in for a classic holiday movie. We can’t wait to see everyone onboard.”

Free registration for Santa Claus photos is required for Dec. 17 from 1-4 p.m., while the appearances on Dec.18-20, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. do not require registration. Professional photo packages will be available for purchase onsite, starting at $40. To learn more about the appearances and register, please visit patriotspoint.org.

The holiday tree program is made possible by the USS Yorktown Foundation, Lowe’s of Mount Pleasant, Congressional Medal Of Honor Society, and Charleston County Park’s Holiday Festival of Lights.
