Mystery Photo Contest - May 20, 2021

The winner of the Mystery Photo Contest from last week’s edition is Daniel Island resident Doug Johnson, who correctly identified the picture as part of the sign for “Nails so dep” salon located next to Subway at 162 Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island.

 

Doug has called Daniel Island home since 2016, but first bought property here in 1999, “so I’ve basically seen the island grow from its beginnings,” he said.

 

Technically retired, Doug still works part-time at Egan’s Spirits. He was able to guess the mystery photo because it is in the same shopping center where he works. “I recognized it right away,” said the first time contest winner.

 

What does he love most about Daniel Island? “The access to the waterways, the nature found here, but especially the people. It’s a great place to live.”
