We are continuing our tradition of celebrating high school graduates through our yearly special commemorative edition. This year’s issue is scheduled for June 10, 2021.
We work directly with the official photographers and school administrators at Bishop England High School and Philip Simmons High School to secure photos of all graduating seniors from those schools. We also want to recognize students in our readership area who are graduating from other local high schools throughout the Lowcountry.
There is no charge to be included. If your student is graduating from high school this year, please send a photo, name, and other information to Editor Boots Gifford at email@example.com
by Thursday, May 27.
As parents, grandparents and family friends, we are excited for the students in our lives. Many of us remember our own high school experiences. This week I spent time with one of my high school friends. We reminisced about old times as she pulled out 30-year-old clippings from our local newspaper, The Pottstown Mercury. Indeed, these were special items.
By honoring our students in the newspaper we are creating a memento that will last a lifetime. Please send your photos and school story ideas and let us help you celebrate these students today. This will be a keepsake they can turn to 30, 40 and 50 years from now as they share an evening catching up with friends and remembering the good old days!
Recognize a student, team or activity
In addition to the photos, news and features, we also are offering an opportunity for family and friends to recognize their students with specialized advertising, including photos, congratulations, and other messages. These special ads also help us defray the cost of creating this souvenir edition. For more information, contact marketing director Ronda Schilling at firstname.lastname@example.org
