Readers speak out on Thanksgiving parade vs. football

In a couple of weeks, families and friends will gather on Turkey Day to get their feast on. But what about before or after that huge meal?

 

If you had to pick between watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade OR a Thanksgiving Day football game, which would you choose?

• There are more traditions out there than just these two! Holiday movies! Family crafts! Beach walks! The television commentary (and the awful lip syncing!) makes the parade nearly unwatchable and the football games are usually boring.

 

• I love to work in my garden, especially with my “ba-bees” which is what I call my bees.

• I think it’s the nostalgia all together that we look forward to! I grew up watching the parade with my parents, so it means a lot to us each year.
