The 13th annual Heroes Run

The North Charleston Police Department proudly joins the race to honor the lives lost on 9/11. NCPD earned recognition as the Top Peer Fundraising Team and had the highest first responder team participation at the event.

Many participants arrive at the race proudly displaying the names of the fallen they wish to honor, 23 years later.

A field of names honoring the nearly 2,977 victims of 9/11 lines the path of the Charleston Heroes Run on Sept. 14, serving as a powerful tribute to those lost in the tragedy.

The 13th annual Charleston Heroes Run was held on Sept. 14 on Daniel Island, drawing hundreds of walkers, ruckers, and runners who gathered in front of Charleston Fire Department Station 18.

This event, hosted by the Travis Manion Foundation, paid tribute to the 2,977 victims of 9/11 and honored the heroes of that day, as well as the service members who have upheld the promise made 23 years ago to never forget.
