Bike Safety Week teaches DIS students how to ride smart
Daniel Island School students celebrated Bike Safety Week Sept. 22-27 with hands-on lessons from MUSC, helmet and bike checks with the Charleston Police Department and Cooper River Cycles, and plenty of practice riding safely.
The week featured the colorful Bike to School Together parade, where kids decorated their bikes and rode with police escorts and Oscar the Osprey, and wrapped up with a spirited Bike to Breakfast at Blondies Bagels & Cafe. It was a week full of learning, community, and fun on two wheels!
