Calling Entrepreneurs! Looking for mentors and funding? Want to pitch?
Calling Entrepreneurs. If you’re an entrepreneur with a viable business or business idea and would like to be one of the ten entrepreneurs chosen to pitch to a panel of angel and venture capital investors at the June 29 What’s The Big Idea? at the Daniel Island Club, arrange your screening interview before May 5 deadline. Chosen entrepreneurs will attend Pitch U to prepare a powerful pitch that wows investors.
Dianne Shaver, founder of What’s the Big Idea?, is partnering with The Daniel Island News to bring this entrepreneurial program to Daniel Island. The program is designed to connect entrepreneurs with mentors and investors.
Similar to the television program Shark Tank, but different in significant ways, Shaver will gather together a group of local investors/mentors to hear pitches from entrepreneurs who have been selected and schooled in preparation for the pitch. The pitch event will be held Wednesday, June 29 at the Daniel Island Club.
As part of the program, chosen entrepreneurs will attend a six week, once a week “Pitch U” Intensive taught by business experts. Pitch U will help the participants create a powerful, polished pitch to present to investors at the June 29 event. The Pitch U Intensive starts May 25.
The What’s the Big Idea? pitch event is open to the public. In addition to hearing the pitches, attendees will be treated to a keynote presentation by a local entrepreneur.
To schedule an interview to be one of the entrepreneurs to attend the Pitch U Intensive and to pitch on June 29 at the What’s the Big Idea? event, email Dianne Shaver at entrepreneurmindmag@gmail to schedule an interview.
